Speedprint is pleased to offer a one-day course focusing on the printing process.

The course will look at stencil design and the different ways to manufacture stencils, examining the pros and cons of laser cut, precision etched and electroformed stencils. It will also look at the significance of stencil thickness and the different techniques of manufacture to avoid potential problems with the print process.

Additional topics covered are:

• The need for the correct type of solder paste printer, from manual printing to fully automatic this will depend on manufacturing needs.
• An in-depth description of all machine parameters and the effects to the print process of incorrect machine set up.
• The importance of good PCB support and the correct size of squeegee blades.
• An explanation of machine process aids such as 2D inspection and automatic stencil cleaning.
• An understanding of different types of solder paste and SM Adhesives and the best way to print them.

The course is one day and can be held at either our facility in Poole or at the customers site. The day will be divided into a class room theory session in the morning and a practical session in the afternoon, with hand-outs of the course given to each student.

The course is open to all; up to 4 may attend from a company.
