Software Development Engineer

Speedprint Technology designs, manufactures and distributes highly sophisticated capital equipment for use in the global Electronics Industries. We operate on an international level and due to our continued growth are currently seeking a Software Development Engineer join our R&D team.

Based within the UK at our modern facility in Poole, Dorset the role would suit an individual keen to develop their career through the development of products and services within a highly technical and demanding industry.

Ideally applicants will have experience of Machine control systems, although experienced software engineers from other backgrounds or talented junior engineers keen to learn and able to demonstrate solid basic software skills may also be considered.

The ideal applicant would possess experience in several of:

  • Real-time machine control software
  • Visual Studio
  • VB6
  • WPF / UWP
  • Async, Multi-threading, multi-tasking
  • Embedded software
  • SQL
  • User interface & graphic development
  • Vision systems
  • High speed, high reliability applications

It is essential that candidates are able to demonstrate confident use of Visual Studio and this will be tested at first interview.

Candidates should possess the ability to work within a small development team, working flexibly and communicating clearly on existing and new development projects as they arise. Being part of a dynamic environment and being responsible for specific projects, individuals will require a high degree of self-motivation.

Technical Support Engineer

Blakell Europlacer Group designs, manufactures and distributes highly sophisticated equipment for use in the Electronics Industries, we operate on an international level and due to continued growth are currently seeking a Customer Support Engineer to be based in the UK.

This position shall cover not only our own product ranges but offers the potential to work on other high end equipment, both domestically and internationally. The successful applicant would possess the following skills & attributes: a good level of diagnostic abilities including, computer literacy, electro-mechanical & electronics knowledge using circuit diagrams and schedules, the ability to use fault finding equipment is also a requirement.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the SMT industry of Pick and Place and related equipment; with particular emphasis on Screen Printers however, good knowledge of Automation/Robotic systems using Servo / Linear motors, and Vision analysis from other industries will be considered.

We are looking for a person with talent and a good attitude and we can provide training to the right candidate. With our Equipment installed within many 24/7 facilities worldwide, a high level of self-motivation and discipline is needed to ensure our customers are on-line 100% of the time.
