The paste management system uses the top camera to look down at the stencil. As the camera moves across the printed area, it measures the width of the paste bead from above. If the paste bead is seen to be below the parameters specified for the job, the printer will stop and prompt the user to add more paste.
Where an automatic paste dispenser option is fitted, it can be triggered to automatically add more paste to the print area when the paste bead is found to be insufficient.
The Paste Bead Management inspection is configured automatically when the squeegee length is selected. There are several controls to fine tune the inspection, for instance to increase or reduce the number of inspection sites along the bead. The user can set how many prints are completed before inspection is required and instruct on what action to take if a failure is located, e.g. inform the operator or automatically add more paste if that option is available.
