Top podium finish for Croatian Student on Speedprint’s VR Racing Sim at Productronica.

After four days of hotly-contested competition on the Virtual Reality racing simulator on our booth at this year’s Productronica show, we can announce the winner who posted the fastest finishing time during the exhibition: Jan Pokos.

Jan is a second-year student studying mechatronics at Technical School Ruđer Bošković in Zagreb. His fastest race time wins him a GoPro Hero7 Silver action-cam and, of course, our utmost respect.

Having identified the worthy winner from the many participants who donned the VR headset, we took a quick peek at Jan’s Facebook page – at which moment the reason behind his driving competence became quite clear: Jan is a keen and, it would appear, successful go-kart devotee who races for karting manufacturer CRG.

Yes, that’s him leading the field!

Once qualified in mechatronics, Jan hopes to work at CRG, the company that manufactured his kart, or for Croatian EV hypercar developer, Rimac. Either way, we know that his technology expertise and undoubted driving ability will stand him in good stead in the challenging and dynamic automotive sector. We wish him every success

We have asked Jan to use his new GoPro to record live footage of him racing in a kart championship and to send us a video clip. We’ll post that here, so keep an eye out!
